Anastasiia Kirpichnikova is a Russian-born competitive swimmer who won the European Short Course Swimming Championship representing Russia before changing her sporting nationality to France, enabling her to continue competing at FINA World Championships and other major international events from which Russian swimmers are banned.

Born and trained in Russia, Kirpichnikova had been among the most successful Russian middle-distance swimmers before the 2022 sporting sanctions. Her switch to France — where she was already training — allowed her to maintain her elite career trajectory and continue competing at the highest international level.
