Chico Marx was the eldest and unofficial manager of the Marx Brothers, whose anarchic comedy revolutionised American humour in vaudeville, Broadway, and Hollywood films. Playing a fake-Italian piano-playing schemer, Chico bridged the chaos of Harpo and the wit of Groucho.
