Russian Connection

Tracing the roots — Eylon Nuphar

Founded by Eylon Nuphar and built substantially by Israeli artists with Russian-Soviet backgrounds, Mayumana represents the Israeli performing arts scene that was transformed by the mass immigration of Soviet Jews after 1990. Many of its performers and collaborators have Russian-speaking backgrounds.

(Boaz Berman) - heavily influenced by Russian rhythmics.
