Vladimir Spivakov — violinist with roots in the USSR
Vladimir Spivakov is a Russian violinist and conductor born in Ufa (Bashkortostan) who founded the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra in 1979 and has been one of Russia's most celebrated musicians for five decades. He is also the founder of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation — a major cultural charity.

Born in Ufa in 1944 to a musical family and trained at the Moscow Conservatory, Spivakov built his career within the Soviet and Russian musical tradition while maintaining international connections. His Moscow Virtuosi — founded during the Soviet era — became one of Russia's most acclaimed chamber orchestras and a vehicle for Russian musical culture worldwide.
